The Oslo part of the FUGE Bioinformatics platform

Specific services will be delivered in some main areas of bioinformatics. These are and will gradually be developed and provided as web based solutions and others. We aim to provide within sequence analysis, statistical genomics, microarray bioinformatics, DNA variation and biobank aspects of bioinformatics.

Research will be concentrated in the same areas, with genome annotation representation and sequence analysis and integrated analysis, and database development as core elements. Within statistical genomics, experimental design, data transformation and reduction, multiple testing and use of clinical data in expression analysis, as well as Bayesian networks will be explored for several purposes. Approaches will be developed within systems biology, to increasingly describe and comprehend complex biological systems on a more holistic level.
